Notes;
* When it comes to calculating risks, determining if 1gp margin on an Item valued at less than 10gp is "safer" then a 1gp margin on an item valued at 1,000gp to 10,000gp, 11k to 50k, etc.

** How volatile is the value of the item? Some categories of items are more volatile than others. For example, items used in training skills may be more volatile and therefore more inclined to be used in short-term item flipping.

Could be interesting.
Indeed. Creating the GE api wouldn't take very long, I have done it previously for multiple bots and has taken not too long. Implementing the merchanting logic however will take time.

So whats the story-line going to be?
Flipping and standing there for possibly 4h's? :p
I used to have this using another client, and implemented a herb cleaner inside =)
Used to make me around 200m/day. (had 2B cash though)

Does actual merchanting by hand even give good money unless you have bils of starter cash?
Well, i started a project.
in 60 days i managed to go from 0 -> 130m

I started out by chopping logs and buying out general stores, untill i had like 2m, then started flipping runes etc :p

Story-line is; I've tried to create this type of bot before to no avail. So now for fun and to make some gp, i decided why not finish something I started but never finished to a point of my liking.

I would imagine it would do flipping and skilling on the side possibly in future iterations (Iteration 3+).

If there is demand I would not see why this could not increase gp/hr for idle/boring skills :)

I think even with small amount of mills you can still make quite a bit off this. I remember merchanting from a main account and having several other ones purchasing similar items for flipping in order to bypass the 4hr limit. I remember going from 500k to 10mill in maybe 8hrs worth of flipping in total. There is money to be made with the correct items and timings.

I started flipping pure rune essence and made quite a bit off it. I did most of my merchanting f2p.

It's a naice project, especially since the only req is a cash stack/members. Lol it'd be pretty fun to see bots undercutting each other though.

I selected only for the api. But it is because I don't have bots that just sit near the ge and do stuff. But I don't bot skills that stand in one place

Would be interesting and entertaining indeed.

Fair enough, it could be nice for those who which to bot skills then once in a while go to G.E and sell all their loot, or purchase more equipment for training.

How is this project coming along? :)
I have put it on hold in order to try a more conventional bot to get a better understanding on the API. After the release of the bot to the bot-store, I will my efforts on the GrandExchange.

I updated the first comment with current progress. :)

Since you're color coding, do you think maybe you ucould also put a note on what you updated and when?

I find a change log better than color coding :p

Nonetheless, looking forward to your release!

I agree, a change log would more than not more informative than the current colour scheme. I will keep that in mind for future updates.

dont make undercutting a feature please... dont do it when flipping yourself either. when flipping just use the same prices as the others so you dont ruin the prices and you dont have to change prices so often cuz every1 will just undercut

I always flip at a level i feel good with, and returns are adequate.
