I've tried to make my own bot for gathering wool using VisualRM but I can't get bot to transit to bank or tell which side of the stile it's on. Would be great if we had a bot that farmed wool and could also spin it into balls. Best place for this would probably be West of lumbridge and it's a short walk to the bank as well. Black and white wool can be found here as well as penguins pretending to be a sheep.

Hey, just wanted to let you know that this seemed like a perfect little bot to make, just to get things set up.
I have just pushed the bot to the queue. No idea how long it's going to take, but it's called "Dr.Sheep" and it shears the sheep and banks the wool (white only).

If you're still interested in this, I'd appreciate if you could try it out and give me some feedback. I myself don't really have interest in collecting wool, so I wont be running the bot for too long.

That would be great, I'll test it out and let you know what I think. I've found that adrounge has a sheep farm that might work better for this profile. Is it live on the botstore?

It's still in the queue to be validated. It's my first release here, thus I have no idea how long it might take.
But since it's really simple bot, I doubt there are any reasons to reject it. Hopefully it'll be up soon enough :)

Meanwhile I'm adding UI and doing some tweaks to it for the next update.

Unfortunately I do not have an account with membership right now, so I can't add support for Ardougne. But if there's some interest towards this bot, then it's easy enough to add multiple locations. Generally speaking I like to add many spots for the bot to work, even if they are not efficient - if not for anything else then it makes the bot more obscure and gives user another choice.

Actually, I think Adrounge is a f2p area now. Plus if it becomes popular, there might be a lot of competition for resources.

I don't think it is. It's certainly blocked on the map.
Also RSWiki states lumbridge as the spot to gather wool for money. Perhaps because it's really... f2p level 3-ey way to do so?

I was going to say that I doubt it will become popular - but then again - I guess it's decent profit for no requirements and f2p?
If it gains any sort of traction, I'd be happy to incorporate location choices and/or perhaps world hopping in.

I cant run the bot for longer than 3 hours locally since I'm not bot 'Bot Author' but everything seems to work okay so far.
I was hoping to have it in Bot Store by now but... I hope it wont be much longer.

It looks promising for sure! Will you add functionality in to allow it to spin wool into balls? If not, I'm sure I could make something on VisualRM.

Bot store pushes take anywhere between a day to a week, by what I've seen. Usually a couple days.

Oh... well....

Now that I'm looking at it - looks like bunch of bots got updated just yesterday, and before that there was a 3 day gap. So yeah, looks like they are pushed in bulk semi-regularly.

I dont think so.

I believe it's a waste of time when it comes to making money? Currently Wool is 604gp and Ball of Wool is 753gp - so each ball of wool would give 149gp profit, and 2.5 crafting exp. Doesn't look like there's any efficiency in it. Unless of course you want to add another step of production in there, and perhaps balls of wool are not sufficiently available on GE or whatever.

Another part of it is that it'd would be even more inefficient to spin the wool after each inventory.
But that can be worked with. As in - spin the wool once you get X amount of wool in the bank.

Anyway, what I'm trying to say is that I think it would make more sense to make it as a separate bot.
Perhaps some crafting bot has the ability to spin the wool already?

But also, if you think it'd be a good idea to incorporate it into sheep shearing bot let me know why. I'm certainly open to ideas. I do like the idea somewhat. Perhaps it would act as a kind of anti-ban... and maybe add the option to set the limits - "I need 6k balls of wool, spin every 1.5k wool gathered". But again, at the same time I'd like to keep things nice and simple.

Only reason I'd suggest spinning wool is that I've got a ton of amulets laying about in the bank. Enchanted amulets can land you a moderate amount of xp and gold on a lower account.
