Whenever I'm trying to run bot having RS3 already runned bot does not see that client, even after refreshing. If I will start new RS3 client from RuneMate then RM starts some wierd, old RS3 client which is laggy as hell.
 
Using VisualRM bot btw.

I believe Jagex is intentionally breaking the legacy client almost unplayable to speed up migration to NXT

It's pretty much "visible" if you are playing regulary on NXT client, then sudenly you switch for legacy client for 2 hours to finish 500 bars, and then you going back on NXT client. It is suspicious as hell. And I won't switch for good on legacy client to keep myself clean while that client works like that.

I guess it is just so much easier to support botting on all three platforms using the platform-independent legacy Java client rather than using three native NXT clients. Also most Runemate users seem to bot on OSRS, so there is not much demand for NXT support.

Just got banned today 2 minutes after switching to legacy client. I was usuing only VisualRM, making bots with no nessecesry clicks, no stupid movements overall.
I'm pretty sure that switching between clients to do things like shaft 500 logs (even if it's not that much) is too damn visible.
IMO if you want to secure your users on RS3 you need to switch to NXT client as soon as you can. Peace.

Legacy client works like shit even after many tweaks and tricks done to improve performance. So I'm sure that if I would be playing on legacy client all the time then I would not be banned as well.

There is nothing like 1gb RAM max ussage and 1 processor core usage lock, and all of that posts all over internet about struggling to get this client to work and how this client sucks is just a prank. And Jagex lunched NXT client just because legacy was so superior.

I'm out, I just made the post to potenatially help other players to know what switching between legacy and NXT is not safe and tell developers that they should reconsider supporting NXT, to not argue with legacy client fanboys.

Devs, at least add a disclaimer in the RM client for players which wishes to bot on RS3 to not switch between clients and stick to Legacy one if they want to stay clear.

So I recently recovered my acct and was only able to download, what I have deduced to be the NXT client. There is no link for the legacy client, don't post one bc it doesn't exist. The RuneScape page with old versions no longer lists the legacy client, and all links on other forums revert to this page. I did find a direct download link to what was supposed to be the legacy version and it was "runescape.msi" which is a Microsoft only file.

I should also mention that I have Java (updated as of posting) and I am running macOS Mojave (updated as of posting).

I would love to start using this program if the NXT client is not yet supported is there an estimated time as to when Runemate will support this version?

When I try to run the Mac download, the launcher fails to load past the initial login page. When I run the basic Runemate.jar file, the program opens and allows me to add an instance up until the selection of a client. I am only using RS3 as OSRS puts me on Tutorial Island for some reason... and I don't feel like starting my account over.

See the attached screenshot for the error messages I am prompted with when I click on the RS3 client during the 'add instance' process. Lastly, the link for the walkthrough is outdated and instructs you to download the Legacy client from the 'old versions' page on the RS site; this, as stated before, no longer works.

I have scoured the forums for a solution, and have not found one that is as recent as the complete removal of the Legacy client on the RS home site.

Any ideas, solutions, or updates would be greatly appreciated.

1. Download RuneScape - Scroll to the bottom and click on "or download an old version of RuneScape."
2. This will then take you to... Old Versions
   
3. Where you can then download...

Install/Run the Runescape.msi file and then go to Runemate and try open RS3 client again. Should be all sweet. by the sounds of things you have not installed the Legacy Client on your PC

I cannot install nor open the .msi file due to my macOS... I have gotten the Runemate launcher to launch the javascript, but it loads a black gameplay screen which I can click around in, but the world doesn't load. My inventory, the map, the hotkey bar, etc. all load, but the player-character screen and gameplay area is black... any ideas as to what may fix that?

I should add that Runemate, wants to run the bot, but I cannot get the gameplay to load, and it is causing issues with the programs.

CORRECTION!: The bot seems to be running, still no gameplay screen...
