Hi All,

Not sure where to post this but I just want to vent something real quick.

Almost everything about this bot has been fantastic, but I have a little grief with something that I don't know is Runemate's issue or the scripter's issue...

No script I've used (I've used many, lol) seems to be able to detect the bank/object in clear view on the game client. I don't ever used fixed mode to bot, I have a separate profile with little to no plugins on runelite, but never fixed mode. The bank will be clearly visible, or object the bot is moving to, but it will click the minimap or spam click walking/running to tiles to head to the bank/object.

This is botlike as fuck. When I see it happening it makes me cringe and I don't know if it's script related or bot client related.

Can anyone help me understand this?

What bot are you having issues with, have you tried restarting and running it again

This is probably something to be changed bot side by the dev.

For banks specifically, it's a somewhat common pattern to traverse until you're actually in the bank/very close, as it's easy for bots to get stuck on walls (a lot of the time you get stuck on bank walls if you click the booth/banker before you're in the bank). So this is "safer" in terms of not getting stuck.

For other objects, this isn't usually an issue and the dev should have it path towards it until you're somewhat close (say 15 tiles) & it's visible, & reachable. And then click it. My bots eg forestry, miner, etc etc should be doing that.

Your forestry bot (which I've used a fair bit) when working in Camelot, where the bank doors don't close and there are no objects, will run to the tile in front of a bank booth every time. Even when the bank is clearly visible and sometimes very close (when doing oaks for example).

Yeah, to clarify I recognize my forestry bot does the pattern I describe:
- for banking, it traverses until it's at the tile it's going to & then opens the bank, to avoid getting stuck on walls of the bank
- for other things like trees, it won't do this & will just click as soon as it's visible & somewhat close

But yeah I can look into improving this & like, try to just click the bank if we don't need to traverse around walls. Or just always click the bank & only blacklist tiles that we might get stuck at; That's an option.

I'll add it to my list and try to improve it, but yeah it'd be something to improve bot side by the dev
