Hey all,

I am a new bot-author and I have just created my first bot: RoofTop Runner. To get this bot into tip-top shape, I need testers to break it :) So, I am here to call for your help.

If you could please give me some feedback on the bot, I would greatly appreciate it.

Thanks,

Hi Stopper,

Good to see an improved GUI.

A couple of observations so far.
Falador bot gets stuck/ can take some time at the start of the course to perform the first action. (Makes you look like a bot.)
There is also a spot on the falador course which the bot fails to pick up a mark of grace. (Makes you look like a bot.)

The Pollvineach course has the same issue as the falador bot, except happens half way through the course. (Makes you look like a bot, also gives worse xp than Seers.)

If you have the time and want to create an alternative bot to the others, supporting alching whilst training agility would be a long term nice to have feature which would set you above competition. (Agility & Magic xp/hr)

Alternatively, supporting the teleportation to seers bank & doing course can be one of the most effective training methods up to 90 agility. Support of this would be phenomenal.

did 55-70 agility with it, love it. GUI was perfect didnt click to fast and wasnt retardly slow. Ran for 14 hours straight no problems at all great bot man. might add that the falador course is a little slow then where it could be but the seers village course ran perfect man.

Thanks for the compliment :) My goal is to get 5 star reviews so your feedback is highly welcomed.

I will take a look at this.

Do you remember which spot specifically?

Same as in Falador, do you remember which spot?

Hmm, this sounds interesting. This might be a thing in future versions :D

This is something I am currently working on as well. So, expect this soon!

I want to point out that there were some issues with picking up Marks of Grace (MoG) in versions before v0.1.97. So, if any of these issues - involving MoG - were noted on versions before the current one, these might already be fixed. Thanks for the feedback.

Heck yea! 14 hours, very nice! I'll make improvements to the Falador course. Thanks for the feedback.

No coding-love has been shown to Falador in a while. #ShowFallyLove :D

I can't remember which spot of the falador course the MoG wasn't being picked up, however to your other point it could have been fixed?

The pollvineach comment is regards to struggling to navigate the course, in reflection my notes appear to suggest it was a MoG issue. The pollvineach course has a wall climb on the roof top. I believe it was the "Climb Rough Wall" - I could be mistaken without retesting, very slow for the bot to successfully interact with the wall climb. I am happy to retest if you give me confidence it has been fixed? I remember seeing the action in the GUI.

The start of the falador course failed on the "Wall Climb", not sure if your bots just don't like climbing some walls? :p

I should probably consider doing the diaries if that is something you plan to support. :p

I look to be testing Relleka course soon, so await criticism on that course soon. ;)

Kind regards,

Kill

Found my problem.. I apologize for the post.

So far Relekka course is working flawlessly! Its been running very well since the last update, no problems climbing rough walls. Averaging around 42k xp/hr, not sure if thats good or bad but it runs very well! great job!

42k xp/hr is great but I am looking to improve that on the next update: v0.2.0; my preliminary tests are showing 45k xp/hr. I'm also adding some neat features for the next one, since it is a 0."2".0 update :D

It's taking a bit longer to do than expected because I want it to be as flawless as possible.

If it isn't fixed on any currently released versions, it will be fixed on the next one. I went back and revised all of my agility courses and fixed any issues that appeared during my testing.

The wall-climbing was one of my bot's weak-points (for Falador, Pollvineach, etc.). This point has been strengthened for version v0.2.0. There's also a new little feature in the upcoming version; I don't want to spoil the surprise so I'll leave it at that.

Others have requested support for teleporting at Seer's Village; after doing the diaries. This will likely be a thing in the future but is not a priority. As of now, I am leveling my character to level 90 so I can support Ardougne.

I look forward to more feedback :D Thanks!

Testing out the draynor course a little bit, after it picks up a MoG after the first tight rope the bot just sits there and spins the camera like its looking for the next tight rope to cross (had to help it) I will let you know if this is just a one time thing of if it happens again.

UPDATE: the MoG problem happens multiple times, It also happens on the first house aswell right after the rough wall

One other small hiccup is that sometimes it misses the climb rough wall (very rare) and clicks on something inside the house.

Other than that small hiccup the draynor course works very well! because of these hiccups I only averaged about 13k xp/hr, I'll keep testing some more courses, but great bot!

This is a known issue and it has been taken care of in version v0.2.0. The bot will not be out until Monday though because, sadly, Runemate does not do code reviews during the weekends; do not quote me on this though.

I think that the updated version handles this issue pretty well but I will let the users be the judges :)

Sweet! I am glad the bot is doing what it should be doing. You will be pleased to find out that in the next version, these issues have been fixed.

With v0.2.0 I have noticed that the camera no longer rotates to try and fin the next obstacle, Specifically at the relekka course I must have my character camera zoomed out as far as possible and in a certain position for it to run correctly. At no point while running does it rotate the camera. Is this new? or is this not supposed to happen?

@snoipa,

I am also botting at Relleka, we may have run into each other sometime, lol. I am almost up to level 90 agility! :D All using this bot. Once I get to level 90, I will implement the Ardougne Rooftop Agility Course. That way, you can join me there as well, haha.

Now, to answer your question: there was an issue with the camera not fully rotating after jumping on the 'Pile of fish.' This has been fixed for the upcoming version although I am not entirely sure if this addresses your issue.

With that said, what you are addressing is not something that should happen. What should happen is: the camera should preemptively rotate in the direction of the following obstacle after a specific point between obstacles.

What you can look forward to in the upcoming update:
  • There was a general camera rotation-issue that has been fixed.
  • There was a specific camera rotation-issue at Relleka that has been fixed.
  • There was a bug in Pollvineach that will be fixed.
  • Antiban feature that I needed so I would not get banned - yes, I am sharing this with you all. You are welcome, haha.

If any of the updates cover the problem in which your issue lies, then consider your issue to be fixed, if not, please do give me more of a description so I can address your issue more appropriately. If this is an issue you want addressed, give me a detailed description of what is going on with the bot and I will add it to my reported-bugs-list.

I will also point out that I am now only releasing updates on Fridays so that I can introduce some sanity into this process. If this bot does not work for you in the meantime, as of now, there are two other OSRS agility-bots that you may try: Agility Dawg and Celestial Rooftops.

Cheers,

I would just like to say that Rooftop Runner, Agility Dawg and Celestial Rooftops usually have the same bugs. So it is very kind to refer them to others, but there is a good chance that the course that is bugged will be bugged for all bots.
Thanks for the kind reference to other bots Stopper! Though I doubt my bot has any less bugs than yours, lol.

Nah, no need for me to be more descriptive, I believe that in your next update it should be fixed! With the camera facing directly north it works just fine, (still doesn't rotate) But keep up the good work! can't wait to run ardy with you! Otherwise currently running 46k xp/hr and loving the bot! thanks!

Random question... Do you, or anyone else randomly get logged out while running this bot? I had actually just caught it logging itself out. I know that there is a hp setting that logs you out if you dip below that, but my current hp is above 90% and the logout setting is set at 50%. So i'm not sure why it logged itself out..

EDIT: Just happened a second time.

Thanks,

@snoipa,

Glad to hear! I hope my fixes do take care of your issue.

Also, yes, it logs you out if you drop below a certain HP - this can be set in the interface by adjusting the slider next to HP gauge - and you do not have any food. I should point out that there is a bug where the HP is misread and the bot thinks you have 0 HP but I am not sure if this bug stems from my bot or from the client. I have to investigate some more.

For now, a quick fix is to just carry some food or move the slider down to 0 (I have not tried this one but it should work).

I hope I helped,

It gets stuck in Canifis on the biggest building, where the next spot is sometimes left out of camera.

Also, the bot sometimes runs into the store if it misclicks the tall tree in the beginning.

Yeah and also when HP is lost, the bot sometimes thinks we are below the threshold, which I've set to 0%. So extra checks to hp are needed before actually logging out.

edit: and also, it would be more humanlike if the log out wouldn't be performed in less than a second after hp is lost.

I got to 90 agility, took a break for a day, and now ths bot doesn't work. Ardounge course is totally busted and relleka only clicks on 1 obstacle then sits there forever.
