The solution is to find it in your Applications folder and right click/secondary click the application icon. After that, click Show package contents. Go through MacOs and other folders till you find the actual .jar file. Make an alias of that or just open it from there. SOLVED

Or download the standalone version.

Give this a try until they work out the environment issue...

1. Make sure you have the proper version of java. This can be done by opening the Terminal application and running the command "java -version". If you see "java version 1.8.XXX...." then you have an recent version of java. If not you can go to Java SE Development Kit 8 - Downloads and download the JDK. By downloading the jdk and not the jre java will set your default java version for you. After installing the jdk make sure the "java -version" gives 1.8.

2. Download the standalone jar of RuneMate from RuneMate | Free RuneScape® 3 & Old School 07 Bot Client. This should be a file called RuneMate.jar. Double click the jar to open it!

I got it working.

Go to Terminal and navigate to where your app is downloaded. Then type:

cd /Contents/java/app
java -jar RuneMate.jar

Mine didn't run when you tried to open the app from Launchpad or Finder and I think this is because it doesn't know what file to look for when you open it so you can open it manually instead.

So, I basically had that problem where it wouldn't open. Did what you guys said and got the program running.
Now it says "Failed to bind to the game client because of an AgentLoadException".

No idea what that means. What do I do?

On your keyboard, there's 3 buttons I want you to test to hold one by one while installing Runemate. BUTTON ALT, BUTTON CONTROL, BUTTON SHIFT. Try them one by one. One of those buttons has the ability to run installers in a different way on OSX

Seems liek you will have to right-click the runemate application. After that go to content --> java --> app and open runemate.jar.

Everything will work then :)

Happy botting :3

I'm getting this "AgentLoadException" issue but that didn't help it at all. It's still the same. Any ideas what to do?

Sadly I do not know. Try downloading it again or turn off your firewall. I turned off firewall to download runemate, and then turned it on again.

I have not encountered the problem yet, so I can't help you with that sadly :/

Every time I try and open the bot, I get the same error.. Created an alias on the desktop, ran the java -jar command in terminal.. tried to download the stand alone version.. updated the java sdk, re installed an earlier version of the sdk and still the same error.

IT says the java JAR file could not be launched, check the console for possible error messages.. Checked the logg file and this is my output:

Is there any update on this? I'm also getting this problem. I tried running /Applications/RuneMate.app/Contents/JavaApplicationStub by itself, and noticed the following:

Error: could not find libjava.dylib
Error: Could not find Java SE Runtime Environment.

My guess is that maybe this is related to environment variables not being set according to what RuneMate expects.
