Unleash The D Countdown Clock | Counting Down To
Congratulations to @Ap0kalypsis for being the first one to correctly guess it, and thank you to all of the bot authors that already knew but didn't want to ruin the thread
I'm proud to announce the incoming release of Project D: Nano Dungeoneering
I've been working on it for a few months now in my spare time, what initially started off as a result of boredom has evolved into an almost release-ready product.
This thread will be a Q&A, so fire away!
Hows the progress so far? - @Prodigy
- Progress has been good, aiming for a release within a month.
Does it do all floors/complexities? - @Prodigy
- It currently handles all floors and complexities. Although handling is not the same as fully supporting, 40/40 puzzles have been identified, and 27/40 have been properly implemented, with a few more being semi-implemented. 26 of the 30 bosses are identified, with 15 of them implemented, although there are boss-specific optimizations that can be done, the bosses that are not identified will be handled by the "Simple Boss" handler, where it attempts to kill the enemy in the room.
What xp per hour have you been getting? - @Prodigy
- I have been getting around 60k exp/hr, sometimes up to 100k+/hr if I'm lucky on the higher tiered floors.
How stable is it in its current form? - @Prodigy
- It is pretty stable, although there are a couple of failsafes that would make it more stable. I've managed multiple 6hr+ runs.
When do you plan to release it? - @Prodigy
- Within a month.
What's been the biggest challenge so far with this project? - @auxi
- By far the biggest challenge is implementing all of the puzzles. Although designing the framework would be close to it, especially when I take into consideration the changes that needed to be made to account for Medium sized floors.
Is this a dungeoneering bot? - @Squidl
- Yes
