I can certainly guarantee some people will dismiss this as it's more circumstantial than it is evidence or any form of proof, but never the less, I think it's possible. This does not apply to people who turn off public, private, clan... But, when you don't message any for awhile or you receive a message, you will notice the little message box turns dark blue / purple.. I realize this isn't proof, but I always click this (maybe just my preference), but does anyone else do this? Anyone else think this is something they could monitor whether an active player (most monitor active chat besides some streamers, hc gamers e.g.) Could this be a factor?

I believe it does that when you don't have the tab open, and something new has come in prior to you closing the tab. Happens all the time when i'm in Castle Wars since I close my chat tab to make cading easier.
