So the past few days I've been looking into a bunch of scripts that I might end up using on the long run for building accounts or actually using on my existing accounts and Im no expert by any means but when I tried these scripts for example:
Auto RuneScape
Phosani's Nightmare Mate

I loved the performace but I was too spooked out about the fact that they use direct input and honestly the fact that they arent open source makes it so I cant really tell whats going on to its fullest extent..

So ig since I cant really examine the code on my own and Im kinda new to botting on a large scale I'd really love to know how those scripts perform on the long run and what's the risk of getting banned compared to regular scripts and how reliable they are

Direct Input uses the same technologies as a lot of plugin clients, it's a way for us to send actions to the client directly rather than pointing and clicking the mouse. This technology isn't new, and hasn't been proven to increase or decrease bans in any provable way. The option is toggleable in the client preferences, so if it scares you you can always turn it off. Almost all bots have restrictions on the number of Direct Input actions they can process per game tick, which is the most critical part of using this kind of tech. Jagex collects a lot of info about your gameplay, some aspects you'd expect and some you wouldn't. They also ignore a lot too. There's a few ways we know Jagex uses this data which is why we can use this tech in a reasonably safe way, by making assumptions based on what we can see.

Also thanks for using my bot :^)
