To be clear: I fully understand why this was done and that it was neccesary for the viability of developing scripts and runemate as a platform in general and while i dont like how this affects me personally i support the update overall, the following is just my side of the story and what lead me to discover and abuse this bug.
So as a decent chunk of you might know it had been possible to get premium bots for a significantly reduced price.
this worked by launching a client while having the startup funds in your wallet and not shutting the client down as fell below 0.00$ credits, this would essentially allow you to run to run scripts for twice their startup fee for a full day (or longer if you left your pc on overnight)
this has since (rightfully so) been fixed.
tbh this is probably the end of using RM premiums for me, considering most stuff i did was netting roughly 4-500k an hour under good circumstances. having to lose about 130-140k an hour thru RWT in order to fund the bot under ideal circumstances isnt worth the risk of RWT'ing that much gold off the accounts to fund my progression (i purely bot for ingame gain, not realworld profit)
another large part in this is how janky and frustrating the RM hours work, under ideal circumstances you pay whatever the listprice is per hour but generally its significantly more due it rounding to full hours and counting during breaks. managing the client to get what you paid for was one of my biggest frustrations with runemate when casualy using premium early on, this micromanagement of hours in turn lead me to finding out this exploit in the system.
- to be clear this isnt a grievance to the bot dev's or runemate in general, this was an update that i had been fearing for a while but also an update that is probably neccesary for the viability of the community and dev's.
I just wanted to voice my opinion and frustration with how the hours and premium function on RM which eventually lead to myself (and likely many others) finding and abusing this exploit and maybe stir up a discussion that leads to other less frustrating payment methods. most bots already require you to supervise them at least a little bit, Runemate credits requiring you to babysit them and actively manage your schedule just to get the most out of what you pay for doesnt help that at all.
-> additition one:
+ the way hours work, the rounding and the way it handles pausing
+ the way the extra hours work, again a somewhat awkard system that requires you to again micromanage your usage to get the most out of it, + if you extra hours for one month it becomes more or less impossible to bot the next month if you drop the packace or switch to a smaller package because it counts 30 days back. it would be much more convenient to be able to buy a preset amount of hours or pay a hourly rate instead of the current system where you constantly have to check how many hours youre going to get available for your next days based on usage 30 days ago. if Runemate is concerned about lost revenue maybe increase the price slightly or reduce the amount of free hours available to compensate.
i dont mind paying for a service, but right now there are a lot of unpleasant quirks in almost all parts of the system that require you to put effort and time into managing your usage to get the most out of what you pay for. a straightforward system where you pay exactly for what you use, or a clear bundle of hours you can prebuy would alleviate much of this frustration

There's literally nothing that stops people from pushing a premium bot to the store. There's hardly any quality control when it comes to premium bots. This often leads to incomplete, broken or half-assed bots being pushed as premium and crashing left right and center. This causes a lot of frustration for the user because he or she is being charged each time a session is started.
