I've also had this problem.

For me the steps didn't work, so I did this.

*Note this may or may not work*

***Note

1. Try uninstalling java by following these steps.

How do I uninstall Java on my Mac?

2. Make sure to remove runemate and java associated files, to do so just go into you're Finder and click the search bar and type runemate, java
make sure its selected as THIS MAC.

3. Restart the computer

4. Open your web browser and copy and paste this Url
Java SE Runtime Environment 8 - Downloads
doesn't matter which version ( I personally have Java SE Runtime Environment 8u192 installed)

5. ***Go to runemate's website. Now unfortunately there is a slit problem. for some reason you cant install the client on your mac as you get an error saying cannot install to this path (something similar to that matter) so you must install the standalone version.

Like I said this may work for you it may not. It worked for but I still can't fully use the client.

If anyone knows why you cant install the client please msg

I Had the exact same issue, it probably depends on where your runemate.jar and runemate.sh file are saved.
I reinstalled Java 8 JDK (cause I was getting fed up) but the real fix for me was putting both files in my main user folder (Which should be your computer account name)

I was still running into the AgentLoadException but if you run the runemate.sh script you may find that it is working now.

If I remember from the few coding classes I took, it may have a hard time finding your files if it is to many layers in. This is actually a really bad explanation but basically, put the files in your user file and might work

Yes

Plus now I've noticed i can now only open OSRS from the sh file
I had the same Issues, try moving both the Runemate.jar and Runemate.sh file so the user folder (its icon looks like a house)
I placed it there and ran the Runemate.sh

Hopefully that helps!

Having an issue where I cannot save the txtdoc as .sh format! Have looked for what daniel previously said with converting to text without format but cannot find it!

If anyone is having issues with Text edit, just download sublime...it works beautifully.

cracso

write: cd "Location of the files"
then try the process again.

Fixed my issue using sublime text!
