Bummer. Updated the app and it still isn't working. When i click the "review your usage" link it says I have only used 74 lol, makes no sense. I haven't even had Runemate for 200 hours... Anyone have any suggestions?

The system is working perfectly as intended.

Is there a reason why I can see 2x RuneMate accounts on your IP address, both with very similar usernames? Creating multiple RuneMate accounts to attempt to get around the hours limit will not work, is against our rules and results in issue like what you are seeing now.

Why are my hours disappearing so quickly? I haven't used that many hours?
You are likely on a shared network where someone else on your network has used up the hours. If this is the case you should speak to your service provider and ask them to give each connecting user a unique public IP address.

I live in a house of 10 guys. 5 of us play runescape, 2 of us use RuneMate. (only me now since he got perma banned lol) I do not have two runemate accounts. I personally use it for two different runeSCAPE accounts, but only have one runeMATE account. The other account you see on the IP would probably be his.

I guess that makes sense if you are using the IP address to measure the hours used and not the measuring it from our Runemate accounts.
It feels a bit unfair to me because it's not my fault my housemate ran bots as well as me, and I feel entitled to my 200 hours lol. With that said, I understand now why you do it- to prevent people from having multiple accounts as you said and attempt to get around the 200 hour limit.

Does the hourly limit restart at the beginning of every month? or is it on like a 30 day cycle once you start using it? or what?

EDIT: I just talked to my friend who also uses/used RuneMate.
he said 1) we don’t use the same IP addresses, and 2) he was still using runemate after i got my 200 hour error message.

so given the information you provided there is no reason why i should have gotten this error.

i have downloaded multiple downloads of RuneMate onto my mac because i was having trouble getting it to run properly in the beginning, but I have only ever used/made/logged in with my ONE runemate account.

given that info, please let me know how i might resolve this issue. Runemate had only been downloaded on my mac for 6 days before i got this error, and i think by looking at my usage you could see that. there is no reason why i would even attempt to have two runemate accounts when my first hadn’t even maxed out it’s hours yet.

It uses a 30 day moving window. If you bot 10hrs on day 1, 30 days later you will get back the 10hrs you used on day 1.

Are you trying to deceive us?

Your RuneMate username was "[redacted] Miller" when you posted this thread yesterday.

Then, after I called you out for having a very similar username to the other account on your IP address, you just so happened to change your RuneMate username to something else.

The other RuneMate account on your IP address is called "[redacted] Miller" - I've hidden the first part for privacy reasons. Your old username was "[redacted] Miller".

So if as you say your roommate truly did use RuneMate on a different IP address, his hours would not have combined with yours. However, because YOUR IP address has two RuneMate accounts on it, both with very similar usernames, I am lead to believe it is you who has created two accounts and are therefore seeing the hours from these combine. That would also explain how your roommate on a different IP address is able to use RuneMate without issue.

Please feel free to correct me if I am wrong.

I am not trying to deceive you. I changed my name because I did not want to use my real name though it probably doesn’t matter at this point.

I am literally just trying to use the application for its intended purpose. Please let me know how i can prove this to you.

I am not trying to use two accounts and i am not sure why you are seeing two accounts with similar names, i really am not. Again, please let me know how i can prove this.

furthermore, i will go back to my point that i only used 74 of my hours. why would i create a second account to “try and circumvent the 200 hour limit” when my account hadn’t even used its hours?

if two accounts were somehow created this was not to my knowledge and was a complete accident. I have only ever used my one account, gotten emails from you guys from one account, have bots on one account. Look at my usage and you will see that i have no reason to have created two accounts on purpose. I wasn’t even aware there was a 200 hour limit until i got this error on my account.

bro... i would give up on it at this point, not to be a total asshole but you need to hear this.... the staff doesn't believe you, maybe suck it up and pay $5 a month to get a few extra hours for the month.... Especially if there was an issue, I wouldn't go to all this trouble and attempt to prove myself right... It's literally 10-20 minutes of work at a job. You aren't getting anywhere with this.

Alrighty, well if you say you only have one RuneMate account, then the fact remains for some reason there are two RuneMate accounts on your IP address.

This means that both of those accounts will combine hours. EG: If Account001 uses 10 hours today, those 10 hours of usage will show up on Account002's usage too.

The only way around this is to use a different connecting IP address for each user on the network, or subscribe to a supporter package which will "unlock" more hours for you.

Given your concern for privacy, I have edited the posts above to remove your previous username.
