I dont know how hard it would be but maybe a bot that refills your Cannon with cannon balls. Maybe set on a timer?

Well also in addition maybe it loots the drops aswell, it would be a pretty fast gain for Range xp...i just noticed how much of a pain it is to reload the Cannon every couple of minutes.
 
I usually go down to the hill giant farm to the west of varrock and set it up and try to semi-afk
