To attach to this game client, Spectre must be restarted and ran with a 32-bit JRE.

Thanks!Install 32 bit java. Or uninstall all of your java, uninstall runemate, install runemate and it will install the correct version
No it's not. If you honestly think it is then you have bigger problems than not being able to run a bot client.I'm getting this error now after it was working fine for a while>... sigh this bot is too hard to learn. Any easier way to resolve this without installing and re-installing a bunch of crap again? I saw somewhere where you could point it to the right jre in Intellij but I can't find it now. .... everything about this site and bot is over complicated.
I find the best way to get dev env properly setup, i install my 64bit java first, and then use runemate installer, which installs proper java for running the bots. And then in intellij, point the jre you want to use to the jre within the runemate folderFrom A-Z it is too complicated. It is like the dev tried to re-invent the wheel. From the hours system to svn. It's a pure pain in the arse.
You say that as a tech-savvy person, but some users may not understand the differences between the architectures and how to install java accordingly and so on.No it's not. If you honestly think it is then you have bigger problems than not being able to run a bot client.
I'm not talking about the architecture. I'm talking about every aspect of it being too difficult. And considering he's trying to be a dev himself (mentioned the svn) he should have a better attitude towards it and use his brain just that little bit more. But either way, this isn't relevant to the thread. It's been resolved. If he's having issues he can post a new thread if the answer provided isn't working for him.You say that as a tech-savvy person, but some users may not understand the differences between the architectures and how to install java accordingly and so on.
Not saying that Mike Hunt is not clever, but these things aren't obvious for some people
