Hello friends,

I recently (about an hour ago) paid $4 for 400 hours, yet the client is saying that I am out of free usage time (2 hours) and doesn't let me bot. Anyone else having this issue or knows a fix?

Thanks!

Sounds like you're using the lite version of a premium bot and they have a cap of 2 hours a week for that specific bot. Either use the premium version or a different bot.

Hi, I just wanted to see if this was a bug or this is working as intended.

I paid $5 and got a limit of 500 total hours. I used 317 hours during that period which I believe ended today. My expectation was that I would have 183 hours left or at the very least have a balance of the hours I accrued (from the original 200 hours). But instead, I have a balance of -117 hours. Maybe I missed something in the FAQ, but this seems like quite a counter-intuitive model....

It's working as intended, it just is a counter intuitive model. The short version is that think of it as if buying hours is actually raising your cap for 30 days to that many hours. So if you buy 500 hours, you raise your cap to 500 hours. After 30 days, your cap goes back down to 200 hours, but the hours used don't expire by calendar months; you regain used hours 30 days after they're used. So if you used 20 hours on April 1 and 30 hours April 2, you get 20 hours back May 1 and 30 more hours May 2.

Your options are to wait until at least 117 hours regenerate (likely about half a month if your usage was regular, spread across the month) or upgrade again. If you upgrade again say for 500 hours, you WILL be able to use up to 500 hours in the next 30 days, it's just that you'll use hours as the regenerate over the month.

Hopefully that makes sense. Yes the system is counter intuitive and a lot of people don't like it, but it technically "works fairly" (albeit confusingly). Admins don't seem to want to change it.

Ah... I see, your explanation makes sense. Thanks for the quick response!

I was wondering if it is possible to increase the monthly hour cap and pay with osrs gp?
You can increase the cap here Upgrade | RuneMate, note the "+" beside the numbers to increase hours.

There's no official way to pay for this with GP.

You can buy premium bot credits from other users for GP, but that's for premium bots which is something different.

If you have no recurring payments showing up on paypal then it sounds like you're already cancelled? Or if you are still being charged, I'm pretty sure you can contact paypal's customer support and just tell them that there's a recurring payment you'd like cancelled. This sounds like an issue on paypal's side tbh.

I don't know if Arbiter has the ability to cancel it on his end, but you should really be able to do it through your paypal. I'm looking at my paypal now, and when I click "Recurring payment to Su Jin" then near the top "View Recurring Payment Details" I can cancel it.

If you're using a bot that says "trial" or "lite" or something you may have used up the trial usage. Try a different bot?

Alternatively it's possible someone else on your IP used the hours? If you're using a proxy or shared IP address, hours are shared across the IP.

Really not sure what else to do besides end up calling my bank and saying this is a fraudulent charge at this point because it’s saying I have no reoccurring payment on PayPal and not getting any response on this end of it can be canceled

@Arbiter sorry for the ping, but not sure if you have any further advice for @bender123. It seems that the recurring charge isn't showing up/cancellable in his paypal yet he's still receiving charges for it.

But yeah I dunno @bender123, if it doesn't seem to be possible to cancel even contacting paypal then I guess contacting your bank would be the way to go. I really think that paypal should be able to offer you the most help here though.
