Are the free bots safe in long term?

Hello community, I'm new to OSRS but I've played a ton of Ragnarok and Tibia, always with dozens of bots. I rather say I don't like the game, I like the automation process. I will bot regardless of the game.

My question to you fellas is: Is it possible to just use the free bots and get away with it? Im willing to use 4-6h max per day. Or at some point I will 100% get busted if I do that?

You'll eventually get banned using any bot if you bot 4-6 hours a day. Or at least you should recognize the likely possibility.

Free bots aren't necessarily "more dangerous" than paid bots or anything. Bots are usually premium if they're more complex, more useful, etc. They should be smoother, but most of the antiban in a bot is from the runemate platform anyway and not bot specific.

That was clarifying. Thanks!

Sorry but this is invalid.

Woodcutting willows in f2p, draynor, is more likely to get you banned really fast. (Self experience)
Doing agility over lvl60 will most likely also get you banned. (Self experience)

I've botted my alt account for 5months now, freshly started from tutorial island. Always 24/7, no breaks. It's over 1800 total, 99 craft, 99 fletch, 99 str. 90 Slayer. I do slayer when I'm at the computer, and bot other stuff like fishing/mining while i sleep/away/at work.

I've been in the botting business since 2006, I am pretty sure jagex do not have a antiban system. The only way you get banned, is if you either get reported or bot in a watched area, for exaple agility at relleka or woodcutting willows in draynor.

Edit: But in the long run, you will most likely get banned, with whatever botting-way you choose to do. I'm just botting to feed my main account with gold, and I think its fun to see "how far i can get" while i gain gold.

Thanks for sharing this. But if you bot 24/7 they dont need anti-ban system, just check acc activity and ban in waves or apply delayed bans, to avoid let people know they identified something. However, I can't argue with 5 months 24/7, I guess I will do that, I will focus on money for bot accounts and always keep my bank on a never-botted account.

Higher statted/older accounts definitely have lower banrates, so if you do heavy botting a new account it is more likely to be banned than heavy botting on a legit looking account. Either CAN still be banned, but yeah there's definitely ways to have lower bans.

Hmm im sure this is also a rumour thats not true. Got banned on my old main from rs3, created in 2003, after botting osrs for 2 weeks. Could be a coinsidence but happend (banned) earlier with accounts created back in 2008-2009 also.

Well, the thing about "legit looking account" is the way i go with right now.

I dont have a lvl3 with 99 fletch and 150m xp. Thats not legit looking.

Jagex definitely autobans some accounts. I once custom made a construction bot, ran it smoothly while watching it for only a couple hours and both accounts got instabanned by the time they hit level 40 or so. But yeah I think a lot of what they do relies on reports.

Thats really cool information! That makes my thoughts about the bans either useless or proves the point even more.

I mean, construction, it's hidden. Nobody knows you're there. Means, they have to see you somehow. Or construction was just focused at that time, like i would say agility and woodcutting is at the moment.

Well back to if they can notice that you stand out, either by XP-gains, like one thought i had about gaining the exact same xp/hr, over and over, hour after hour. Thats not humane. Therefore i usually change the bots mouse speed, so my xp rates either increase or decrease.

Like this account i got now. When i started combat training, i did 80 att 80 str 80 def at minitaurs in F2P. I had a few runs over 45hours straight runs. This is the account thats 1800+ total today with several 99s that's also been 24/7:ed.

It all depends on if you get reported. You can use runemate to max your account but as soon as you get reported you're gonna get a ban. So, I recommend using breaks or keeping your account looking legit, and don't bot at hotspots looking like another bot.

Bans can be isolated to whether or not botwatch decides to scan your account, and if so you will be grouped with other profiled bots to be banned some time the next day. You can delay this process by blending into the crowd of real players (IP matters, total level, reports to an extent, etc.), and can only fool it if you are the sole user of your script/macro. Weath has set up tighter systems in f2p as well as in certain areas and for certain activities (agility, air orbs, zulrah) that may profile your account regardless of precautions taken, or at least raise the bar at which you are ignored to an insanely high degree. Also, injection is dead except for suicide botting. The theorized "tier" system of bans holds a lot of weight to this day. That's all you need to know to bot successfully.

Personally, I would stay away from most public scripts for long-term botting unless you are willing to sink a lot of time and money into testing. I stick primarily with python/macro recorders for mains, and premium scripts/bots for goldfarming.
