Bump, also keen for a public or private farming bot
I could make a herb run bot, this bot would need to idle while logged out yet the bot would still be running. What hourly price would you feel comfortable paying?

Its tricky for that reason, but it could be left on for far longer than a normal bot due to all the idle time. 0.04c/hr maybe? I would pay double that tbh as there are no alternatives in the market.

Runemate can be run from the command line. So the actual solution would be to have a .bat file or something that opens runemate once a day. Anything else is just silly.

I've thought about this before. The way I'd imagine a farming bot to work would be that it saves the settings between startups of the bot, and it's intended to be ran from any bank. And what it does it just teleport/run to all the spots and stop when finished.

That way botters could run it between other botting sessions and semi-legit players could run it whenever it's farm run time.

I don't know if leaving it running for hours makes sense, but I guess that'd be a good option for if someone really wanted to.

Runemate charges you by the hour rather than by the minute- right? and if a farm run takes the bot 15 mins, there will be a lot of dead time. My opinion is that the dead time is best addressed by a bot that you can comfortably leave on for 8 hours due to the break times that are naturally built in to herb growth times- and a lower hourly price.

And then you spend 8 of your Runemate monthly hours for no reason.

What do you mean for no reason? You get the amount of farm runs you can do in 8 hours.

What's the alternative?
I think I misunderstood your point. You meant that the farm run bot is incorporated in other bots that can be left on for a long time, such as NMZ? Yea, that would be the ideal situation, but that also means that every bot author that wants to support this option needs to have the source code to a farm run bot, which is just impractical.

No, that;s not what I meant.

I meant that the bot would be on but the account logged off during the idle time.

If you make it cheaper people will abuse it and only will start it up do a herb run and close the bot and repeat in 8 hours time so no point there
