He probably followed the link to the "100mil giveaway" scam. The "forum" link they post is just a phishing version of RuneScape's website.

Lmao I saw people spamming in GE that there was a 60mil give away and they linked the YouTube channel. Sure enough, it had a runescape forum link and I visited and copied the url. It was completely different than the real rs forums.

Most hacks do not come from viruses of malicious software, think about anywhere you used the same email address and password, more likely though, think of any friends who know the account username.

It's a lot like real hacking. Hackers in the movies and such always "crack a firewall" or some shit, but in real life hacking, it's just a fake email from a friend or the target using the same password for multiple accounts.

Unfortunately, there is no way to 100% without a doubt say that the Admins of Runemate did not steal your gold for an easy 20 bucks. On the other hand, you should consider just who Arbiter is and consider how long he has been on the botting scene without incident and in the long run would that $20 be worth any tarnish to his reputation.

Again, don't bother with the virus scan, you would be better off spending your time looking through your usernames and passwords of other websites on which you used the same username and password as the account that was hacked. Unless you are using IE, in which case, Chrome or Fire Fox up.

@SFGChamps read this post, maybe you'll find out how you got hacked.

Got hijacked here too, lost 1M+warrior ring + saradomin whisper only, but its all i had atm.
I was only runemate and the MaxiFisher script on Barb Island, its powerfishing, just catch and when full drop all. Not banking, nothing,. When i wake up why my character was standing at GE with the script on? LoL!!!!!
How is that possible????

There's no way i could get hacked in other way, cause they would go for my 300$ pokerstars account already, and no sign of it. There aren't any kind of viruses on my computer, or anything that could led to that hijack.

It's something to do with the bot.
 
It's only been 3 days using runemate and no other bot, also no other downloads. And already got hijacked. HAHAHAHA!!

There's something very strange going on here.
 
Also no one knew my account, its was completely new.100% new.
The only link it was to that account, was RuneMate!!!

RuneMate is secure. Obviously you had a keylogger already on your pc. If you actually read the original post he edited it to say that he was wrong and it was indeed someone he knows who did it.
