Resolved What to do for a slow computer?

Kind-of depends on your budget and how many bots you'd like. Though be sure to remember laptops are a real bad choice for botting, especially if you want the laptop to live a decent lifespan.

Resolved What to do for a slow computer?

Buying used is hit and miss depending on the hardware you're purchasing. For example I would never recommend buying a used SSD as they have limited read and write cycles, for all you know that product could be on the verge of guaranteed death. Personally I don't like buying second hand for a...

You can definitely RAID two or more Intel 750 SSDs, though if I recall correctly it will have to be a software RAID as opposed to a hardware one via SATA. The two options you have available are RAID 0 and RAID 1. RAID 0 is striped data across two drives, roughly doubling your performance but...

Resolved What to do for a slow computer?

Nah, though imo anything *50 (Nvidia nomenclature) and below is a bad purchase as they are typically just too underpowered to be particularly useful in any situation aside from a Home Theater PC. Just to be sure, did you get that impression from Nvidia's website? The reason they state such high...

Resolved What to do for a slow computer?

Rough estimate that would struggle to pull more than 200w. The 750 Ti is particularly energy efficient, though I would never recommend it because it's just not very powerful, which would more than likely end up being replaced later on. And even if it were for a display output, it's unnecessary...

Resolved What to do for a slow computer?

Yeah unfortunately you haven't any options. An SSD would improve bandwidth, which unfortunately wouldn't help your predicament. While 4GB is cutting tolerances tight, I don't believe RAM is your issue, it seems to me your processor is just not capable. High temperatures actually harm your...

Resolved What to do for a slow computer?

80 degrees celcius is too much, even for a desktop that's quite an uncomfortable temperature. The real problem is that having your hardware running at that temperature for extended periods of time will cause the components to decay over time, eventually dying. I don't believe you have any CPU...

Resolved What to do for a slow computer?

Your best bet would be to first determine what is getting hot, though I'm pretty confident it's going to be the CPU. Simple software such as Speccy (made by Piriform) can be used to find hardware temperatures. Given that we're talking about a laptop here, I doubt there's much you can do...

    Resolved Computer Freeze

Straight from the get-go I would recommend reformatting to be quite honest with you. Pre-built systems are renowned for being loaded to the teeth with bloatware which is never an enticing prospect. Also it's probably safe to assume the issue is on your end, as opposed to RuneMate's, given that...

Not at all. Having more cores is beneficial to game development, it's just not very cost efficient when you consider the limitations that same CPU imposes upon you. Lanes however correlate more to SLI/Crossfire configurations, which can impact gaming and rendering performance, as SLI strictly...

There's nothing necessarily wrong with the 5820k, it's just horribly cost inefficient for what you end up with. For example, to make the 5820k cheaper, it has 28 PCI-E lanes as opposed to the 40 you get with a 5830k and 5960X. While that is irrelevant in your case, it's still limiting what you...

Yeah MOSFET temperatures aren't actually probed, so you'll never know how hot they are as programs can't find a sensor. Not going to lie, I have a gripe with people that buy *99 chipsets and get the lower end chip, my friend did it recently and refuses to believe it's not a good purchase. I'd...

Yeah you have to take into consideration that the majority of "overclockers" will use OC Genie and the various other automatic overclocking features provided by motherboard manufacturers. Meaning you'll be running a pretty aggressive voltage, that coupled with the natural temperature spikes of a...

Locked because I severely doubt he'll overclock, not to mention the budget wouldn't necessarily accommodate a capable CPU cooler without reducing performance elsewhere by changing parts. While the board supports overclocking it's not mandatory and will last longer due to a better power delivery...

Runemate using 2000kb of memory, yet really laggy when running

I would advise posting your hardware specifications, also that's MB not KB :P Though I won't be able to comment until tomorrow, as it's late atm and I need to be up tomorrow.

Resolved Runemate lags bad on my spare laptop?

As previously mentioned, I don't think it's a good idea to purchase a RAM upgrade when it's not necessarily the limiting factor, I'm pretty confident that CPU is not capable enough to run a bot.

Resolved Runemate lags bad on my spare laptop?

Not only is your RAM lacking, but the CPU is woefully inadequate as well. It's an Atom with 1 core (2 hyperthreaded cores) and is clocked at 1.6Ghz

Any particular websites you'd prefer to purchase from? As I'm not very familiar with sites that use Euros.

RS3/CS:GO should be no problem at all, whereas Ark Survival should be fine. When I had seen it, it ran terribly on even a overkill system due to poor support, but for all I know it could be better.
