My client is installed and loads correctly, until I input all the necessary fields before Starting an Instance, at which point, the green loading wheel is displayed, fluidly at first, and then a black screen for a moment, and then the wheel appears again with several images of it layered over each other, not moving. Then the client returns to the prompt to "Start Instance" again. This all takes a minute or two.

Runescape client is properly installed and runs independently with no issue, and it is also recognized by the RuneMate client in the prerequisite field selection process.

I am not savvy, yet, in computer language and functionality, so I have nothing to add to this in terms of insight, and I need someone else to help me.

Can't even do that because of another bug - the launcher is incredibly laggy. As soon as it opens, there are frameskips, but only within the launcher window. My desktop mouse moves at the normal rate. No shade toward the software - just wanna fix the bugs I'm encountering.

There have been two LTS releases since Ubuntu 14.04 and it's reaching end of life in April 2019 (should've died a long time ago). We obviously do not test with it and don't intend to provide any support. RuneMate is tested and works with Ubuntu 16.04 and 18.04 out of the box.
