Are you sure its not just your internet or Jagex' servers dropping for a second?

Very real possibility considering there are more users online right now on Jagex's servers than there has been in a long time. Is there any error or popup shown in RuneMate? If not, it's most likely Jagex servers.

Only time I've ever been dropped out is due to client errors. Are you sure your not having these issues?
