Unless the installer had to install other dependencies which required a system reboot (eg: .net framework, visual C++ versions etc), it is unlikely to have occurred due to RuneMate.
Another reason could be your anti-virus falsely detected RuneMate as a virus, quarantined/removed its files and then restarted your computer to complete the removal.
