Hello Guys,

Used this on windows greatwork!

I thought to my self hmm linux would be more undetectable.

Your client installed great! cant click OSRS, hmmm.

No client for OSRS ok fair enough I'll try RS3.

Installed it from the site and a post on your forum... client not found.

Installed it from the linux mint software centre client found! in runemate!

Tried logging in Jagex doesn't support the java client...

Fine Install OSRS with wine and it works but runemate can't detect...

Soooo any support for runemate before I purge it from my packages?

Sucks having to be forced to use windows.

*wink* *wink* runelight?

Cheers XD.

What makes you think botting on linux would be less detectable lmao

if you run the bot under sudo su the memory portion of the bot will be unreadable and you will 100% know runescape cannot read that portion or memory.

This made me exited to try it out and I had a fish bot that never got picked up for WoW, wow ran in wine and the fishbot run under SU.

So am I right to assume, running runescape on the user level it will literally see only mouse inputs because runescape is running under "x" user and cannot read super user memory.

you're way overestimating jagex's competence and methods lol.
Every part of the game that does this kind of client sided detection of bots is taken care of by runemate already, but its not much they are doing anyway.
pretty much all bans you get with runemate are caused by the behavior of the scripts youre using

Don't quote me on this because I never fact checked it, but I've heard before that it's illegal (or not allowed) for game clients to read what other processes are running on your computer.

Either way you're overthinking it and jagex doesn't do that.

Honestly jagex does not have the power to detect like we think they do …………… I run a few bots 15hrs a day no ban,its all about where you bot. there's hot spots for then to investigate. I could be fishing in a really rare spot for days . it makes me view it as they don't actually detect youir account until its brought to their attention .

Cool yea I figured it would be like that, I used to bot WoW hence my paranoia, they are known to scan active memory and have it in their TOS, I guess like a AV or malware checker scans memory for threats.

e.g.
Blizzard Gm admit that they are scanning your computer while playing.

I will look for that other client and try again tonight, I have a sneaky suspicion it will use less resources then windows and therefore can run 5-8 on my laptop :), windows uses like 10% of my cpu and 200mb of ram per client, when I was running multiple VM's in linux (honer-buddy) I could sneak in 2 extra setups :D.

Thanks guys.

Has anyone had any luck since?
I am using a Pi4 4GB and it runs OSBot flawlessly.. Would rather a bot that actually works well and access to scripts that arent trash.. I can open OSRS and have OSRS installed on the system too. Just can't seem to get runemate.jar to work. Maybe cause im on ARM?

Cheers
