I know I problem I had when trying to start using Runemate is my jagex cache and runemate folders weren't on the same drive, so I had to create a sym link to have the cache on both drives.

You could try setting up a virtual OS through VirtualBox and just use the virtual OS to only run RuneMate. I'm pretty sure that way it doesn't fuck up with cache.

So once i have downloaded virtual box how do I run runescape though it
Look for tutorials on Google on how to set up an OS in virtualbox. After that you can do everything you want like you would on your base OS.

I fixed it on my own, don't exactly know how though. Anyways, i reset my pc completely (only keeping files). After the reset I installed Runemate and followed the walktrough.
