Failed to bind to selected game client. Please Restart Runemate and Try Again.
Repeatidly. Unsure why, the client was running fine for weeks and this just started last night. I have deleted all caches, uninstalled clients and reinstalled, and try again, same issue.
Please find attached a copy of the dxdiag plus the log file
My java version is:
1.8 1.8.0_311 http://java.sun.com/products/autodl/j2se C:\Program Files\Java\jre1.8.0_311\bin\javaw.exe true x86_64
Doesnt seem to give alot of information but here is the log info:
Log Info:
00:00:42 INFO Attempting to start official client. If it does not open shortly please do so manually.
00:01:08 SEVERE An unspecified error occurred while attempting to bind to the selected game client (code 1). Please restart RuneMate and try again. Contact support if the problem persists.
Don't know what else to say, ive tried running the client with differant bots same issues, very sad the client has been working perfectly until now, im unsure what to do as there isnt alot of information on the forums, and it seems to be a reoccuring problem as other also seem to post about this issue with no solution.
Please contact me if you require any other additonal information, any tips or tricks to try I will give ago any help at all is much appreciated.
Many thanks in advance.
Robert.
Update:
After uninstalling everything once again and attempting to reinstall and run I was still encountering the same issue.
I then decided to create a new user on my computer, knowing this would give me complete fresh files just in case I was missing a cache file or something. I then reinstalled runemate and osrs on that user. After completing the installation and testing I encountered the same issue but my anti virus went off. I added it to my exception list but decided to just turn it off to test. Turned off antivirus software (I use avast) and it ran up fine. I will attempt to do this on my actual main windows account with old files to test of this fixes the issue.
For people experiencing this problem I would advise adding Runemate to you're exception list. This may correct the issue.
For now please close this thread as I have a working client once again.
Second Update: After trying this resolution on my main windows account seemed to fix the issue. My anti virus for some reason sees it as a threat causing it to stop the bind. Probelm solved.
