I recently upgraded to the 500 hours/5 accounts service of Runemate. When processing the payment through PayPal I double clicked submit and now shows the charge happening twice. Is there a way I can just have that second charge applied to my next month's time?

No, payments stack up. This means for the next 30 days your allowance will be raised by not 500, but 1000 hours.

It's unlucky, but if you only intend to use 500 hours, I would advise against using all 1000 hours this month, because by next month, if you only pay for 500 hours, your balance of the past 30 days will be -500 (allowed to use 500, but you've actually used 1000 in the month), which means you'd have to pay for 1000 hours again, or wait a certain amount of time until the balance drops to below 500.

The payment isn't recurring so not entirely sure what you mean. If the single payment for 1 month's usage equals 1000 hours how does that balance carry over if you decide to pay another single payment for another month but at a different number of hours.

It doesn't carry over. After 30 days from the day you've made the payment, it will expire and you're left with any other active payments, or a limit of 200 hours that you get if you don't have any active payments.
