If you make a bot premium, you get 70% (I think it's 70%, could be misremembering) of the money the bot makes.

So if you have a 5 cent bot and it gets run for 10 hours, you make about 35 cents--which ends up in your RuneMate credit balance. After you have (I think) 100$ in it, you can cash out to PayPal.

So if you make a super good super commonly used bot you can make bank, but most bots make pretty small amounts tbh.
