Hey all, been using the client for about two weeks, huge fan. I just had a question about the "Direct Input" function on most of the bots (the premium ones, at least). How does this work? Is it more likely to result in a ban? I noticed the bot pretty flawlessly can execute most tasks while keeping a constant and rarely-failing prayer flick. Is Jagex more likely to notice that? Is it recommended not to use it? I like it because it saves prayer pots and extends trips massively. Thanks for the help!

1f) What is Direct Input? Is it safe to use?
Direct Input is a feature introduced into Runemate in early 2023 which essentially allows a bot to execute actions on the client without simulating the mouse. This means it can be a lot quicker and more accurate. Some bots have it implemented, and most of the time it is optional.

A number of Runemate bots have been using it for a while, and we haven't heard of an uptick in bans or anything. Similar tech has also been used at other clients (or even in RuneLite plugins) for years now, and it doesn't appear that there is any inherent ban risk associated. So it's really your call, and you could try without Direct Input and see if you think more-accurate clicks are worth it for you.

I think Direct Input is way 'too powerful' and precise, so I feel uneasy using it. Always a shame when a bot fully requires it.

Really appreciate the bots who have it as an optional feature!
