On January 24, 1848 a fellow named James W. Marshall found gold for the first time in California. This led to the precious metal fueled race to the West that was coined the California Gold Rush. True to its namesake, RuneMate would like to introduce the very first "Bot Rush."

Whoever has the most users combined across all of their scripts, thirty days after public release, will have the opportunity to be the first Premium Bot Author to utilize our payment & delivery network. The winner will have first rights to which script category they wish to satisfy, utilizing any bot of their choosing, new or old. Additionally, they will have the opportunity to communicate closely with the Executives to help us best serve your needs. After feedback and successful review from the public and the Executives, this Bot Author will inaugurate our premium platform.

Alongside the grand prize above, we will run a series of other competitions to keep in the spirit of development! For starters, the first bot that reaches over 100 users will receive free Supporter for a month (if the user already has Supporter status we will add another month to their subscription on us). This is an open competition, so any bot category and game mode qualifies. The only requirement is popularity! Stay posted for more competitions and rewards for categories like best progress reports, highest voted, and much more.

So now, ladies and gentlemen it is up to you to get working on your bots and start impressing the community with your capabilities as a Bot Author. Let's hear those keys crunching!

Best Regards,
The RuneMate Staff.

Edit 4/15:
We have decided to split the running contest into two categories: OSRS and RS3. Both the OSRS and the RS3 bots with the most users after a month of public release will earn the privilege of participating in the Premium Beta. This means double the opportunities to win and double the prizes!

Congratulations to @Salvation for the first non-Executive bot release on the Bot Store! Come on guys, don't let him win so easily. ;)

In other news, SVN pushing is enabled for all developers. Visit the Developer Panel to find out more. Starting Beta 6 SDK mode will be unforced allowing you to run bots from the Bot Store.

It's rather hard to give an ETA as there are still variables in the air. However, we are inches away from our first Release Candidate build. That being said, if I was at gunpoint and had to give a vague ETA I would say this: Long enough that you still have a chance to win if you haven't released yet, but short enough that you gotta hurry. :p

Okay sweet. Well my easter break starts tomorrow and i plan on spending it finishing a programming assignment, catching up on physics and writing scripts so i'm hoping to get a script or two out in the break but that depends on how long catching up on physics takes. However, being caught up will mean i have more time to script on any given day so either way the easter break is helping a lot :p
