Hey all,

Long time but finally back into things - have a new Pc etc and have tried disabling, adding exceptions, going into my router to port foward and DMZ the IP address, everything!!! I'm absolutely stumped on why its not working, i load up RuneLite (fresh install) via the Jagex Launcher, load into the game then start the bot up which picks up the patched RuneLite client and click run instance, the bot then basically doesnt even start and gets to 10% then i get the communication bridge error..

This is what i found in the logs? - Please help if you can! :)

Is anyone able to help out or give me some advice or something I can try? thanks!!

Something on your computer is preventing RuneMate from accessing RuneLite via the bridge. This is a networking issue on the computer.

Common things to try:

Download RuneLite and keep it in its default path location.

Launch RuneLite as you would normally and then refresh the client list.

Run RuneMate and RuneLite as administrator.
Disable your firewall, or create whitelist settings for RuneLite and RuneMate.
Disable your anti-virus, or create whitelist settings for RuneLite and RuneMate.

Thanks for the reply

Unfortunately, I have tried every one of those things - I don't have any anti virus or firewall installed apart from the default windows ones which ive both added inbound and outbound, exceptions, followed every guide i could find on the site and it just wont work..

I just don't know what else to try, i have tried it again on my old computer and it runs just extremely laggy cause its an old pc

I worked out via chatgpt by typing the code in and asking that it has something to do with the RMI code?

And i cant do anything with or about that because its client side from RuneMate

I also worked out the rmiregistry runs via java and it also has something to do with everything? Port 1099

I have tried adding all this to the firewall along with router side adding to DMZ (opening all ports in port forwarding) everything.. no luck and still works fine on my old pc

any other ideas? appreciate it

Unfortunately this is a bug that has variable causes. In short, something on your computer is preventing RuneMate from connecting to the RuneLite client. This is most frequently an anti-virus, firewall or installation issue, preventing the network bridge from working.

In almost all cases, it is fixed by a combination of what I posted above.

Another thing to try is:

Uninstall RuneMate, RuneLite and all Java installations. Check your cache file and delete those also. Check your %appdata% folders and delete those also.

Basically, you're looking for any remnants of RuneMate, RuneLite and Java, to delete them all.

Then restart your computer and reinstall everything in their default paths.
