Client disappearing and non-error crashes when I 'start instance'

Based on this thread (Resolved - Client disappearing) I was lead to believe the client .exe disappearing was due to windows defender bullshite. Got around that once, then it kept disappearing.

The one time I got around the disappearing client, the client crashed/shut down once I hit 'start instance'. The .exe is gone, the installer is gone, everything expect the log folder.

Any one experience this or know a solution?
