I've been trying to find a way to set up runescape with a proxy but so far have been unable to.

I found a program called proxycap that changes oldschool rs's connection to the proxy but then it wont allow runemate to work getting this error message. failed to bind to the game client of agentinitializationexcepton is there a simpler way for me to change the clients proxy? I get banned everytime I try to bot from my local IP and VPS are laggy.

Can anyone help, it was worked fine yesterday but now when I try to start a instance it says failed to bind to the game client of agentinitializationexcepton.
Please check around the forums for other threads with this error. There are tons, some of which are resolved :p

There issue is different than mine.
Well, i got nothing for ya. I read through all the threads i could find on it and found nothing that deals with a proxy. But can you please post the log file for it? (Help -> View logs) in Runemate client

The only information I could find was this. Resolved - Runemate Spectre; how to setup proxy? but it didnt work.

I attached the log files.
I gotta go to bed but i'll leave you with this

1) Uninstall all java/Runemate you have (do not uninstall the proxy)
2) Install the java and runemate again.
3) Try and pray...
3.5) Give up and dont use proxy, just make sure you remove jagex cache and you should be at a normal risk of ban from RS.

I have had probably 20 accounts banned at my ip address, do jagex flag ips? I'm sure there is something that has them checking up on me. I only botted a few hours on a new account and it was banned within a few days.

I will try what you have mentioned and post my results.

I tried it and I got the same error, I would love to play without a proxy since I'm paying montly for it. but I don't see any other way to stop the bans.

There must be a way to use spectre and a proxy together!

Sorry I'm struggling with this, after following both these links I ended up with this prm file. (Attached below) ive edited the proxy info for my safety)

but I get this error message when I try to launch the oldschool client. [There was an error loading the game configuration from the website. If you have a firewall, check that this program is allowed to access the internet.]

I also tried using -socksProxyHost=
-socksProxyPort= but the client didn't open or display the error message, just nothing.

Any ideas?

There's definitely threads on it...

Where? I have searched all over google and runemate and I'm sorry if my incompetence is annoying you but posting here saying there is threads with the fix but not posting the link is not helping.
Didn't find any that actually got something for your case... try disabling firewall or putting the proxy and runemate and Rs on the white list for firewall if they aren't already

Since my proxy is a socks proxy I found some information about it saying to use these commands instead.

-DsocksproxyHost=
-DsocksproxyPort=
-DsocksproxyUser=
-DsocksproxyPassword=

the client launches but it also launches and runs when I put the incorrect information in each line giving me reason to believe its doing absolutely nothing. I'm completely lost here. It SHOULD work but its not.

thanks for trying to help Awesome and Arbiter

So you think it's an issue with the proxy?

No, I can connect to the proxy through a third party program fine (ProxyCap) and use it to play runescape but it produces the failed to bind to agentinitializationexception error message when I try to start a bot instance inside Runemate. the runescape client probably can only have 1 application plugged into it at a time.

Might have to wait for arbiter to have another look at some of the things I've tried, maybe a better mind can think of something.

Find someone else who uses a proxy, as there are people, and ask them :p

You could be a basic scrub like me and just use cyberghost lol. Been using it a long time and many of my bots have been active for a week or so and haven't been banned yet.

I personally only use it so that my bot accounts aren't on the same ip as my main account, not to avoid bots being banned.

does cyberghost change your runescape ip? I thought it only affected your browser
