I know the problem is that the NPCs don't become actually targetable until you're near them but it's weird how it just maneuvers itself far and back again.

Yeah there are different spots but the main area where people farm there is the docks in Rellekka and Waterbirth island.

Yes. I started mine in near the docks and it wandered for about 5 minutes before returning to a spot that's close the actually crabs.

Yeah I've been getting similar results. It'll just aimlessly run around (Even if I've guided towards the crabs).

Edit: Do you get logged off if you don't answer random events? It seems like it because I used to be able to leave the bot on all night and day but recently it's just been logging off at random times.
