If you can get a used 750 Ti that's definitely a good option. I picked AMD because their new processors (Ryzen) are really fucking good for the price, I cannot recommend their new processors enough. Just to clarify, that processor is an 8 core but it has 16 threads (effectively 16 cores as far...

By mentioning a GPU I assume this is for RS3? If this is for OSRS you can use the onboard video from the motherboard and you won't need to buy a GPU. Honestly I would probably prefer 1 build with a new Ryzen CPU, less power consumption and noise compared to 2 older chips. I would list a build...

If it's for RS3 then the build will very likely need changing with a low end GPU added in. FX-8300 3.3GHz 8-Core, Nova ATX Mid Tower - System Build - PCPartPicker Canada

I'm entirely open to opinions, assuming they're logical which you are, I've met far too many people who take their opinion as fact. By no means am I saying an i5 isn't a good option, however I personally would rather have more processing power available for virtual machine work, naturally that...

An i5 is going to suffer in virtual machine work and video editing, hence the clarification on my post. As for the GPU, an RX-460 performs ~20% worse than a 1050 and only costs 15% less, so there's a 5% discrepancy for what it matters. The only "add on" that an RX-460 has available to it is...

    Dedicated server question.

The second server that Max listed (Nocix) is roughly 30% worse than an i7-4790k, going by those numbers I would roughly expect 4-5 bots on an E3 1230 V2. It is more cost effective, roughly a 50% price drop for a 30% performance loss, but naturally that trade-off is up to you. There should be no...

Unfortunately I can't seem to find a case that's a worthwhile size difference that can support your ATX motherboard. I had considered looking at a HTPC case as it would greatly reduce the height but the price premium and honestly some of them aren't even painted.

To be honest there's really not much you can do to lower the cost of the build, though I will say the CD drive is a question mark imo. I will note that for a pittance less you can get an upgraded chipset over the Gigabyte H97 board. MSI Z97-G43 ATX LGA1150 Motherboard (Z97-G43) - PCPartPicker...

Yeah 650w is more than enough for a 1070, my GPU is a fair bit more power hungry than a 1070 and I can barely make it hit 500w with the CPU + GPU maxed out on benchmarks.

I don't believe that's necessarily the case, I have been around this scene for a several years and I know people want to learn how to create bots, yet simply don't have the resources to learn.
