Hello everybody,

I'm using RuneMate on a mac and whenever it updates (what seems to the case almost every day), after installing it always creates two unwanted desktop icons. Obviously thats only a minor thing, but it gets pretty annoying after a while. I'd suggest a check box to decide weather or not to create a desktop icon. And since it's always creating two, there seems to be something wrong with it in the first place.

Isnt the 2nd icon just the devices icon? once you remove the runemate 'device' / the actual updater, the 2nd icon is gone?

"almost" is the keyword my friend ;P

The virtual device would be the third icon, but that is not within the influence of RuneMate to remove that

i do not have a clue why you have this issue. I just updated and never saw a 2nd icon appearing anyway, besides the updater itself, which has the same icon, but that one disappeared after the update was completed.

No idea about Mac, but in windows, with every update you install, runemate will re-add shortcuts/icons to your menu if you removed them.

he is having this issue on a mac. And i guess thats a different problem
He gets multiple desktop icons on his mac when he updates, which is completely weird tbh
 
but i feel the pain of having to remove it everytime when you don't want a single one there

Thanks for your specs, was about to ask that. I'm on El Capitan 10.12.3, on a macbook air.
