I'm not sure if this is a feasible idea. But a client based task system, which can start/stop bots, change gear between different tasks, and break etc.

Ideally this would work like this:

Client walks to nearest bank, equips the gear you told it to equip, in this case full Graceful, walks/teleports to Camelot, starts Prime Agility, does 1 hour of agility with the settings you defined earlier, breaks, goes to nearest bank, changes to your preset hunting gear, uses a fairy ring or webwalks to a hunting spot you selected the coordinates for (Could all be pre-sets) starts Prime Hunter, and hunts for 1 hour.

This would allow the user to mix up their botting on a whole new level and hopefully avoid bans while doing so.

Support. Curious as to why RuneMate doesn't have at least basic break support already.

Breaking should totally be client based. But then it would require every author to change their code to support it. So it doesn't just break in dangerous places etc :D

Simple enough, developers could just override some sort of "canBreak" method the client would call to determine if the bot can currently break.

Not going to have breaks on release last I heard, and the original suggestion will not be implemented in any way with it AFAIK.

I believe RuneStats allows this. Also, from what I've heard, we can create custom commands to various things, so who knows what we can do ;)

Missed the "change gear between different tasks" part, but it will be able to start/stop. I doubt it'll be flexible enough to let devs support "change gear between different tasks", but I guess only time will tell.

Agreed, but some things he listed are possible with RuneStats :)

I feel like Runestats is pretty far from what I'm suggesting, unless there's more to Runestats than I think. It's primarily a remote control and statistics gathering service right?

What I'm suggesting is the ability to basically plan an entire week of botting, in the most human way possible. When I play manually I do maybe 5 different skills a day.

This would eliminate the need to change bots manually, and gear manually, and move your character in position for the various bots, manually. Since we already have webwalking it would just need to support teleporting and banking, and fairy rings/duel rings/glories/houses/ring of wealth/skills necklaces/games neck, etc. Or just teleports and webwalk the rest.

Then just starting stopping and ideally breaking too. Breaking would benefit from being a client side feature imo.

If it's up to the developers to control these things a majority won't be adding it. So I feel like client based is the way to go.

Hi Web Services guy here. Indeed breaking will not be built in to the client or Web Services upon release. This is due primarily to the fact that it would break support for existing bots. The same applies for being able to start a RS client and bot remotely. Being able to inventory swap and dynamically change bots between breaks will likely not be supported in Web Services or the client any time soon, or ever. Once remote start gets added in a place we are happy with we can discuss adding more advanced features such as these.
