God I am thankful every day that I can view the change history on threads.
We've all been there though for real. The free bots that were removed weren't removed because they were broken in any way, they were removed because RuneMate's API was updated and (after about a 2 month notice period) the authors of those bots failed to update their bots and would have been broken after the RuneMate update. Unfortunately those authors aren't active and would likely leave their broken bot on the store which is just as impactful as it being deleted in terms of usability.
For what it's worth, premium bots don't consume botting hours, and there's quite a lot of bots that are either free or have decent trials on them for you to use
