There are no risks to doing this as long as you play on your main through the legit runescape client. Running through the Runemate client might have a small chance of getting you banned, but probably not anything. There's no risk as long as you're not botting on your main.

While it's pretty obvious the report system works, this post proves nothing. One account probably got scanned and banned, the other didn't. No matter how much we research, botting will always come down to luck if you get away with it. Who knows? A mod might have walked past the banned account...

Since Jagex doesn't release any information, we can't know for sure. Honestly, the only way we will know if the client is detectable is if there is a mass ban of Runemate botters.

I personally wouldn't really click an ad unless it was to support RuneMate, but I agree with having them as it helps fund the entire program and keeps this community running. Therefore, I do support them.

From what I've heard, replying to chat isn't always the best idea. If your mouse/camera is moving while you're typing, it's obvious it's not you playing. I think they normally do a 2-day ban to an account that was confirmed botting, but not heavily. If you were suiciding a stat on an almost maxed account, they would probably do a permanent ban.
